This coin was personally designed and fabricated in SW Missouri. The coin is 1.5″ (40mm) solid brass and is custom engraved. You select the sobriety date. All other design elements remain the same. It features the AA text, Unity, Service, Recovery on the front, along with “one day at time”. The outside perimeter of the front face has a chain wrapped around it, but it is broken at the bottom, indicating the chains of addiction are broken.
The back side features a beautiful Laurel wreath surrounding the first few words of how every AA meeting ends; the Lord’s Prayer. These are hefty coins. These are about the size of Half Dollars. As you can imagine, these are custom made, but the turnaround it pretty fast, all things considered. It takes about 8 hours to engrave both sides of these coins. The edge of the coin is ridged, similar to a quarter’s ridges.
