Specifically, this tough gun sling has our special thumb hole design. When you carry your rifle or shotgun on your shoulder, you simply slip your thumb through the hole. As a result, this gives you an instant, secure grip. It ensures the premium leather rifle sling stays put, greatly improving how secure and stable your gun feels while you walk.
Why Our Sling is the Strongest and Best
To begin with, we make this great handmade leather sling from the highest quality full-grain leather called Veg Tan. This leather comes from the famous Hermann Oak Tannery in St. Louis, Missouri. Furthermore, Hermann Oak is known worldwide for producing the best leather, so you know this material will last a lifetime and will get a beautiful, rich look (a patina) over time. Therefore, we build it with two thick pieces of strong 5-6 Oz. leather, which we carefully stitch together. Moreover, using two layers provides it with exceptional strength and durability. You can trust this rifle accessory for many years in the field.
For example, the inner layer feels super smooth and comfortable against your shoulder, preventing rubbing or chafing. In contrast, you can customize the beautiful outer layer—we offer special stamping and coloring to perfectly match your unique style or your gun’s finish.
Sizing and How to Order
This high-quality rifle sling measures about 40 inches long (before we secure the ends for use). In addition, we included a smart adjustment system, letting you make it several inches longer or shorter for a perfect fit. Also, the wide part that goes over your shoulder measures 2.5 inches across. This width helps distribute the gun’s weight, keeping you comfortable during long trips.
Important Note: This sling does NOT include the metal clips (sling swivels) you need to attach it to your gun. However, we designed the reinforced leather ends to fit all standard 1-inch swivels (the most common size). Finally, since we carefully make every Pastor Bob Leather product by hand as a custom order, please know that we require about three weeks to make and finish your sling before we can ship it.
