Important Use Details
Do not use a hammer. These stamps are designed only for slow, even pressure using an arbor press or vise.
Arbor Press Instructions
- Case the leather evenly with a damp sponge.
- Place the leather on a solid platform under the press.
- Place the stamp on the leather and set a flat block above it.
- Apply steady pressure for 15–20 seconds.
- Check the imprint and press again if needed.
Vise Instructions
- Sandwich the cased leather and stamp between two hard, flat boards.
- Place the setup into the vise and tighten firmly for 15–20 seconds.
- Inspect the impression and repeat for deeper results.
Leather Prep
For best results, the leather must be fully and evenly cased. Incomplete wetting may cause water spots or uneven impressions.
