Important Use Note
Use only with an arbor press or vise applying slow, even pressure. These stamps are not made for hammer blows.
Arbor Press Instructions
- Place cased (evenly moistened) leather on a sturdy platform beneath the anvil.
- Position the stamp on top of the leather and place a flat plate above it.
- Apply steady downward pressure for 15–20 seconds. Check and repeat for deeper impressions.
Vise Instructions
- Sandwich the cased leather and stamp between two flat pieces of wood or metal.
- Secure the setup in a vise, tightening it for 15–20 seconds.
- Release, check the imprint depth, and repeat if needed.
Best Results: Casing Leather
Use a damp sponge to moisten the entire leather surface evenly before pressing. Uneven moisture can cause spotting. Adding a thick scrap of leather or pressing pad on top helps distribute pressure for an even stamp.
Cleaning & Care
Rinse or lightly scrub the engraved face after each use and dry before storing. Avoid using impact tools to protect fine details and extend the stamp’s lifespan.
Lifetime Guarantee
Each stamp includes a lifetime guarantee for standard press use. If it ever fails to produce an acceptable impression, return it for a replacement. Use with a hammer voids the guarantee.
