Important Use Note
This stamp must be used only with an arbor press or a vise. Do not strike it with a hammer. Impact use can crack the acrylic and voids the lifetime guarantee.
Arbor Press Instructions
- Place evenly cased leather on a solid, flat platform under the press anvil.
- Set the stamp on the leather and place a flat block or plate on top of the stamp.
- Apply firm, steady downward pressure for 15–20 seconds.
- Check the impression and repeat if you want a deeper emboss.
Vise Instructions
- Sandwich the cased leather and stamp between two flat boards or plates.
- Tighten them securely in a vise for 15–20 seconds.
- Release, inspect the imprint, and repeat as needed.
Best Results: Casing Leather
Use a damp sponge to moisten the entire piece of leather before pressing. Even casing helps the distressed flag lines press clean and deep and helps prevent water spots or uneven marks. A pressing pad or scrap leather on top of the stamp can help spread pressure and sharpen detail.
Cleaning & Care
After each use, rinse or gently scrub the engraved face to remove leather fibers and residue. Dry the stamp completely before storage. Avoid any hammer blows or impact tools to protect the fine engraving and extend the life of your embossing tool.
